The Wolfman Review

I went into this movie with extremely high expectations. The cast was stellar (Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins), and the original is a film classic. So why cant this film hold up to par????

Too many reasons for me to even list. The movie followed Del Toro after his brother was found murdered and he came back to London to look for his killer. What he encountered was beast that nearly killed him. Once he is bandaged, he returns home and becomes miraculously stronger and his scars disappear.

This is where the movie got bad. It seemed as though Del Toro was a constant werefolf. Every night in the movie when he was in London had a full moon. Near the end of the movie, spoilers aside, ther is a large werewolf fight that escalates into one of the most ridiculous movie scenes put together in a while. My roomate was nodding in and out of sleep throughout the movie. And the theater wasnt even sold out on open weekend. The plot and character development overshadowed a good performance from Blunt, who is the only thing that kept the movie going at the end.
