Awarded by the AFI as the #1 villain for his role of Dr. Hannibal Lecter or Hannibal the Cannibal, only Anthony Hopkins could play such a deep character. A supporting character which shapes a storyline at his will w/ a more primary role than even the actual primary characters. Even tho, he doesn’t become an actual main character until the third installment of the series it always felt like he was. Psychoanalyzing everyone in sight this man knows your weaknesses and strengths, also what you’re thinking and why you do what you do from the moment he sets eyes on you. Dr. Lecter’s power of observation is nearly infinite, he is as close as we get to Omniscience in a mortal being. I admire Dr. Lecter’s collective, cold and sharp speech, in which he delivers his beyond deep psychological insight Making anyone crumble to their foundation just by mere words, then dismembering them and eating the rest. “A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.” Three Great films, some of my favorite if not my favorite. I love this guy. Thank you.
